HealthTap allows you to ask doctors questions in real-time, be a weirdo hypochondriac anywhere you get cell service,
If you’ve got an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you can now download HealthTap, an app where doctors are always available to chat with you about that weird rash on your arm that WebMD would’ve told you was cancer, probably.
Apparently, you can set up an appointment with a doc to look at you, square away your copay, and even check on how many people are waiting in the office, surrounded by so many bratty, bored kids ignoring the Veggie Tales DVDs playing on the television.
The reviews are sky-high so I’m sure it’s a helpful app, but if you’re really concerned about an ailment that’s gotten a hold of you, you should probably just call your regular doctor if you can and/or have one. Still, convenience is king, so if you really want to enable your paranoid, hypochondriac tendencies that I totally never, ever display you guys, it’s cool to know the option is there, until the lawsuits go flying all over the place because of some “bad advice.”
